Name: Hee-chul Cho Nickname: Popsicle; Stickless Wonder Age: 23 Family: Lee Ranking: Soldier Orientation: Asexual

Personality: Hee-chul is a quiet sort of person. He doesn't really stand out, even though he's good-looking enough. Towards innocent people, he's something of an altruist and seems like a normal, nice person, but if he locks onto someone as a target, he can be absolutely ruthless. He has very little in the way of pride, despite his pristine lineage, and isn't afraid to stoop to as low as he has to to achieve his ends. He doesn't care about what people do or what they look like or what they act like. Unless he has to target them, they are largely of no interest to him, but he does tend to be a little kinder to women and children. It's the way he was raised, conflicting with the life he had to deal with on the streets. Despite being quiet and unlikely to chatter his mouth, when he does speak he can be somewhat sarcastically joking and constantly equivocating, difficult to read and rarely straightforward unless making an official report, though he almost never outright lies. This can make him difficult to converse with, but he's rarely looking to converse with people, anyways.

History: Hee-chul grew up in a Korean family in Shanghai, born to be an athlete. His father was a Chinese martial arts practitioner and teacher, and his mother was an Olympic gold medalist in Judo, despite being first trained in Hapkido. In other words, martial arts was practically his destiny. He had two sisters, and all three of them were raised to be martial arts masters. He took a particular shine to the use of the staff in Wushu, but didn't originally decide to specialize in it, preferring to stay versatile in the style he practiced. He was physically fit, but never quite as manly as his father hoped he would be. Physicality couldn't be helped, but it was his personality that really bugged his father. His quiet, apparent lack of ambition was something of a disappointment to his father, as both of his sisters were both much more serious about training for competitions. The way he seemed very gentle, as well, and showed no interest towards women, seemed to spell trouble. He was thirteen when his father first consciously began to suspect that his son might be a homosexual.

Hee-chul, for his part, didn't really understand that he was unusual in not feeling active attraction towards others, only really noticing that his father was becoming increasingly hostile towards his friends. By the time he turned sixteen, quiet suspicions became full-blown accusations, and after staying out with a friend too long, one day, his father confronted him. Although he vehemently denied being homosexual, his father was certain, now, and screamed that he wouldn't let one live in his home, and he was turned out, despite the protestations of his mother. Disowned from his family, but not officially a homeless child, Hee-chul began living on the streets. Growing up in a martial arts family in Shanghai, he of course had heard that there were gangs in the city, but it wasn't until he started using his martial arts prowess to thrash amateur gangsters on the street that he began hearing whispers of the names Lee and Wu. As gentle as he seemed, he knew how to win a fight ruthlessly, and managed to scrounge enough money to survive and buy his weapon from a pawn shop. His first defeat was at the hands of a Lee, and that man decided to recruit him. With nowhere else to go, he agreed and joined the group as an associate. As an associate, he quickly earned a reputation for being sexually frigid and quietly violent, not to mention an exceptionally skilled spy. His nicknames were made sneeringly, almost in retaliation. Eventually, he became a soldier, but from there, he proceeded to improve slowly and quietly, but not fast enough to become any higher in rank. He is perfectly content where he was and had no intention of drawing attention to himself.

Weapon of choice: A swordstick that looks like a straight walking stick of the Makila style. He uses is primarily as a staff to fight, and pretends to use it to help him walk as if he were an invalid. He only draws the knife in the staff when he's really desperate, but is pretty darn good at using it, since he trains with it. In the absence of this trusty weapon, he's quite content to use his own knowledge of martial arts or whatever happens to be lying around.

Other/Extra: Good at cooking and sewing, and fair singer. Doesn't have much in the way of preferences, except for an odd love of cold, sweet treats. There's gotta be some sort of irony there with his nickname.
