Love Will Find a Fucking Way

My dearest Kiyara,

Perhaps you are right. In fact, I’m certain you are. As you have always been disregarded and put to shame in front of polite company, it would not surprise me if the same was done to me for loving you, and I have no doubt there are things that I would lose. Perhaps even more so, it would please them to see me “fall” as they might say. I am a man of many passions that I care not to hide, I have my share of enemies, or at least unhappy acquaintances.

But you must also know I care not for their petty concerns. I am not the wisest man, not the strongest, or even the bravest, but your warning comes too late, because I have already chosen to love you. Let them consume themselves with their satisfied pride. That is their concern and theirs alone. I have chosen to love you, and if you choose to love me too, I know we will endure, as only love can. As every night must end with sunrise, as every storm must fade away, even the most difficult of things will not outlive us, if we only have the will to find shelter from it in one another.

I cannot be subtle in my meaning. Love me, Kiyara. I know you’ve already felt the same joy I have at simply holding one another, seen the possibilities in my eyes as I have in yours. You have only left to reach out your hand and claim me. Choose me. And any suffering I might have to endure would be a blessing to me.
