Serrin Bonberri

Serrin "Sir" Bonberri is a young hoverbike mechanic somewhere in her 20's. Her mother was from a wealthy family, and a member of the Allies of the Crystal - a secret organization of light trying to keep back the shadow people - who left her family connections behind to marry Sir's father, who was also a hoverbike mechanic. Her mother died when Sir was very young, so all Sir has ever known is the life of the quiet, unassuming mechanic her father led. Raised by him, she became intimately familiar with hoverbikes. When she was young, she began racing for a thrill, and discovered that she had a talent for bike racing, betting on herself, and then starting to win ridiculous sums. The people she ended up betting against turned out to be a small group of thugs who told her to stop racing unless she wanted her father and shop to have some serious problems Her father grew sick as she entered her late teens, however, and it became a struggle to make a living as a mechanic shop apparently run by a teenage girl. To help keep the finances up, her father borrowed money, and when he died that debt nearly cost Sir the shop. She began racing again, and found her old friends the thugs chasing after her, never realizing that her destiny was about to become deeply entwined with that of a prophesied hero who would one day go on an adventure to end the conflict with the shadow people once and for all.
