Appearance
Facial Structure: Delicate and overall round, but with slightly sharp eyes and nose. He has thin, pale lips and eyebrows. His skin has a slight tan to it.
Body Structure: Always having been a little short in stature, Skylar is a bit on the scrawny side. It's just not in his genes to seem very beefed up. His legs and arms are, like his face, a little delicate-looking, and a little bit lanky, but you can see that he is quite strong, from the muscle he's developed. His best friend, Kalia, used to poke fun at him about this. Something about him being, "so manly despite being so girly" whatever that means.

Piercings: Just his ears. He usually wears just simple studs.
Marks: None
Style: Casually fashionable
Outfit one : Close-fitting jeans with casual T-shirts, or tank tops, and usually with flip-flops or sandals of some kind. Sometimes, he'll wear a slightly punkish necklace, and he usually wears colorful, but plain studs.
Outfit Two : Again with the close-fitting jeans, but the top usually changes to a casual long-sleeve shirt with some kind of zip-up or button-up sweater. The zip-ups tend to be in windier weather, and he'll sometimes put his hood up as well. He usually wears closed-toed shoes in this weather, but rarely will they be athletic shoes.
Outfit Three : This is usually restricted to a simple black suit and shoes. He'll also style his hair back with some gel, and wear his only pair of diamond studs.

Relationships
Father: Simon Metharom - Skylar and his father have never quite seen eye to eye. It's not that he hates his father, it's more that his father simply doesn't understand him. The few times they've tried talking, it always ends up in a conversation his mother describes as, "two different conversations that accidentally got thrown onto the same wavelength." It doesn't make sense to either party. Simon is a conservative man, with strong principles and ideals that he doesn't really know how to execute in the real world. In other words, Skylar's exact opposite. In the end, Skylar's always gone his own way, pretty much ignoring what his father thinks he should do, and how his father thinks he should act. One thing that is true, however, is that he loves his father, and truly believes him to be one of those few good people still in this world.
Mother: Madeline Metharom - Ah, how Skylar admires this woman. Unlike his father, he believes she's strong, realistic, and was born with a quick mind and discerning pair of eyes. She's grounded, and if he has one regret in his life, it's that he knows he's never going to end up like her. He's too cynical to become someone strong like her, that's what he believes anyways, and too cruel. He trusts his mother implicitly, not only that she always has his best interests in mind, but that she's almost always right, too.
Sisters: Selina "Elly" Metharom - His little sister is a manipulative witch, despite being about four years younger than him. She's a pretty little thing, with their mother's delicate frame, but their father's willowy stature, but she is fairly scary, in Skylar's eyes. She sees how other people work, and she knows how to use it. Well, in that sense, maybe they're kind of similar. What really scares him, perhaps, is that she... enjoys it, somehow. He simply does it not to stand out, whereas he can see her positively radiating with gleeful malice. As a result, the two of them share... a somewhat odd relationship. She ignores him, and he throws a little sarcasm at her blatant witchcraft, but mainly stays out of her way.
Brothers: Daniel Metharom - Skylar loves his brother possibly more than any other person on this earth. What with his "E.T Phone Home" father, and his impossibly perfect mother, from since he was little the only person he could really rely on and confide in was Daniel, so Daniel became like his father figure instead. Or... maybe not. Considering he's also come to feel incredibly protective of his brother, perhaps father figure isn't the perfect phrase. All that can be said, is his brother means the most to him, and it was his fall from grace that led to Skylar's current distrust of the world in general.
Grandparents: Skylar never knew his paternal grandparents, because they died when he was very young, one from cancer, the other from loneliness. His maternal grandparents, though, he respects a great deal. Although they are not exactly like his mother, he can tell where she got her down-to-earth attitude from. Their cheerful demeanor, and the fact that they seem to love him a great deal, even knowing his faults, has made him very good to them indeed. He appreciates them, and is sure he will miss them a great deal when they die.
Uncles: He has eight uncles, and low opinions of every single one of them, blood-related or otherwise. Only three of them are blood-related. The other five he doesn't know very well, since all he can really tell about them is that they lie to him to get on his aunts' good sides. Of the blood-related ones, two are from his father's side, and one is from his mother's. His father's brothers are both younger. The younger one is a lawyer and the perfect stereotype of it, the other is an obsequious under-lackey of a big corporation (or so he sees them). His mother's older brother does have quite a bit of spunk, but also no direction in life. He is currently an unemployed bum traveling around the world on his wife's money.
Aunts: He has seven aunts, since his father's first brother doesn't have a wife. The second brother's wife is also a lawyer. He doesn't really think they're in love, and can see them easily backstabbing each other. The one thing he does appreciate about her, though, is that she's always honest about him. That's where any possible like for her ends. His mother's sister-in-law, who supports that unemployed bum he calls an uncle, he has never met and never wants to, because as far as he can tell, she can't have much of a brain in her head if she's letting him do what he likes. And as for his five paternal aunts... well... they married appropriately. Just like their husbands, he doesn't see a single honest bone in them. They smile and faun over the three of them, and he trusts not a single one of them down to the last cent.
Cousins: With such a large number of uncles and aunts, it's quite a shock that he only has seven cousins. He really doesn't care for most of them anymore than he cares for his aunts and uncles, but he makes a special exception for the twin daughters of the two lawyers, Irene and Jenna. The two of them are very self-dependent, but he thinks they still have very beautiful souls. They are a full six years younger than him, but even now he goes out of his way to be especially kind to them. Their parents being... well... those two, he feels bad to know that their lives must be pretty lonely and at times hard. They take care of themselves, splitting the housework between them and depending on no one else, especially not adults, but they can still smile with genuine enjoyment when they're having fun. He loves that about them.
Strengths
Arsenal: At best, he's got a swiss army knife on him at all times, but that's about it.
Abilities: Although he doesn't seem to be much good at any other sports, Skylar is quite the martial arts athlete, having shown aptitude in Karate, Taekwondo, and Judo. He is currently a Karate black belt. He is also, it turns out, a fairly good cook.
Physical: Although not much of a runner, and with few advantages in terms of height and weight, he has fairly good reflexes, powerful kicks, and good training for defense. He is also good at enduring hits, though a couple miles cross country will wipe him out.
Mental: Most people think he's a mental gangster, but in actuality it's more likely that he's a mental wimp. Skylar tries not to get involved with other people. He tries not to pay too much attention to them, or get involved with their lives, and most of the time it works. But precisely the reason for this is that he knows himself too well to think he could come out of any relationship unscarred. He is afraid of breaking, as he's seen his brother break, and that makes him a mental wimp.
Weaknesses
Fears: Skylar is afraid of almost nothing and nobody, except for maybe his sister and becoming mentally broken. Heights, fires, bugs, dying, pain, most of that doesn't really bother him. He just doesn't intend to die a broken shell of a man.
Physical: He is not tall and will never be completely ripped. He's also not that great with endurance in terms of running and swimming long distances. His reflexes are exceptional, but everything else is average. What muscle he has is through constant practice, he does not have a specially athletic body.
Mental: He doesn't trust people, which can become a liability for him, and can be perceived as cold and unfeeling. He is a little afraid of what people do to each other, and hates showing vulnerability. Most of all, when he loves someone, he can never stop himself from getting in too over his head.
Misc
He has a particular interest in tigers.
While he keeps up to date with the fashions, this is largely unintentional, and he does not go out of his way to be super trendy. What's comfortable and practical just sometimes seems to coincide with what other people like at the time. Still, he's not a total slob about his appearance, as he understands that people do judge on appearances, and how they judge you will affect how they treat you, fact of life.
He does use a man-purse. They're useful. Why not?
He doesn't meant to do this, but he can sometimes give off a threatening aura when he's concentrating very hard. His sister says it's something to do with his eyebrows. Like he has any idea how to fix that.
Despite being a younger child, he is extremely self-dependent, and organized, if at times extremely forgetful. Everything in its room has its proper place, and it'll return there or he'll forget it. Knowing this about himself, he has as many contingencies as possible for losing things. He's paranoid like that.
He doesn't dislike children, per se, but they certainly seem to like him. When he's around, they'll automatically come to him, and as cold as he seems, he can't just abandon a kid that needs help.
Skylar really really really dislikes people who threaten without any intention of following through. He'll very rarely threaten anyone, but when he does, he's going to make darn well sure he goes through with whatever he said he was going to do.
History
Skylar's home life was pretty much uneventful growing up. Yeah, his sister was manipulative, selfish, and always got what she wanted, while his brother was his only safe haven on earth, but other than that, not much more to be said. That is, until his older brother began seeing "a girl." Skylar watched as Daniel got dragged around, made fun of, and treated like a lackey. He watched this for a year, anger slowly building up inside him, an anger that his brother didn't seem capable of feeling, in his love-struck state. Finally, the girl broke up with his brother, with the cruel words, "You always just do what I tell you. It's boring." And that was when Daniel broke, and Skylar was pretty darn sure he broke right there with him, watching his brother wasting away, refusing to touch food at times, bingeing at others, questioning his own self-worth. All over a girl. All over a stupid girl. He didn't understand it, not yet anyways. He understood a couple years later, though, when he finally developed feelings for a girl who'd been his best friend for years. At first, he didn't realize it, but gradually he got so bad, that he couldn't help but want to always be around her, to always love her. And he started bullying her a little. Making fun of her, stealing her things, starting rumors. He began really enjoying it, and that's when she ran. She found out and ran, because he was a monster. Right there and then, he decided that love must be a terrible and cruel weapon of sorts, and if it made him a monster and his brother a wreck, he wanted nothing to do with it. Why join this match-making site, then? To be honest, it was a terrible mistake of sorts. The ad came in the form of an email from a loose friend of his, suggesting he just try it out for now. He refused at first, but then was intrigued by the words, as they hit close to home. "Tired of watching your loved ones crumbling around you? Want to find a good partner to help you make sense of it all? Join, and we'll see what we can do." A touch of irony, a pinch of brutal honesty, and the words he'd always wanted to have fulfilled, "make sense of it all."
Type He'd prefer a girl who would be gentle and accepting, but could still stand up for herself, and not just take everything silently. He wants someone honest, and someone willing to try things out, a little adventurous, and very faithful. He doesn't really have a physical type, but he'd prefer to stay away from chicks older than 22.
