Personality: Fairly cheerful girl who always tries to see the good in people, and gets sad every time reality slaps her in the face with the truth that you just can't always trust others. She always tries to cheer people up when they're not feeling well, sometimes to the extent that she doesn't take care of herself, but at the same time she was taught to be very cautious about being alone, and always has all senses on high alert when she has to go anywhere alone in the dark. Background: Her parents met when her computer-engineer father was called on to fix her mother's personal computer, integral to her biomedical research. Long story short, both her parents cheated on each other. Her father first, then her mother in retaliation. But the fact that Patrick had cheated caused Melody to file for a divorce, unwilling to put up with the facade of having a happy family home in such broken circumstances. Melody gave up all three children because each, in their own way, reminded her of Patrick's infidelity. So Melissa grew up along with Sierra and Michael under Patrick's care. He was a very loving, but strict father. She found out about the Greek gods at the same time her brother and sister (she doesn't even think the "half" part) did, which was when she turned seven. Powers: None. Likes: Fruit leather, Japanese food, garlic, listening to people sing, hugs from and to family, having a sense of security. Dislikes: The dark (not a fear, just a dislike), insects, cigarettes, strong smells including perfume, public-speaking, ginger, violence. Fears: Being raped, drugs, animals - mostly the small, jumpy types like squirrels and birds.
