Personality: Sierra is very quiet, not prone to outbursts of any kind, whether they be joyous or angry. Extremely studious and somewhat unsociable, she's basically a fairly hard-working, smart introvert, who gives off a kind of "don't touch me" air. She is, however, perfectly capable of expressing emotion, and it is clear in her expression when she's angry or happy. When she's angry, people for some reason get the unnerving urge to not come within a hundred feet of her, barring Melissa and Michael. Any others who do come near her when she's angry usually get hurt accidentally, like her textbook will drop on their feet, etc, nothing major. Many also experience nightmares or a suddenly excessive fear of the dark they didn't have before. She is a bit of a pessimist, but it's mostly joking. Family:

Background: She is the daughter of the primordial goddess Nyx. Her father had no idea the lady was a powerful goddess, but he was rather powerfully seduced, unfortunate considering he really had loved Melody. Several weeks before Melissa's conception, he got thoroughly drunk at a party with friends and Nyx took advantage of him. Sierra was delivered to their bedroom in the middle of the night around nine months later, in a glowing baby basket that looked like it was made of those glow-in-the-dark star materials, covered in a very soft dark blue blanket with constellations beautifully embroidered onto them and her name embossed on the edge. That blanket is still very important to her and she keeps it tied to her belt like a little sash. No matter how many times it's washed, it never fades or gets rough. NO ONE messes with that blanket. Her appearance scared a very-pregnant Melody so much it induced childbirth, so she and Melissa celebrate their birthdays together, since they're on consecutive dates. Her father never hid from her the fact that she was born by a different mother, but he couldn't provide any answers to who her mother was, exactly. On her seventh birthday, she and Michael and Melissa were visited by Nyx, who told them all the truth. They were smart children, but they believed Nyx, and since then Nyx would occasionally send notes to make sure Sierra never forgot her. The Goddess of Night didn't, however, give her only demigod child any pointers on how to control her considerable powers, and she struggled with that for a long time. Powers: She can see in the dark, darken an area around her, seem to melt into the shadows, cause other people nightmares (often accidentally), make other people sleepy, increase others' negative feelings especially resentment and fear of death or the dark (important note: she can't CAUSE negative emotions that aren't there, only enhance the ones that are), similarly she can enhance negative medical symptoms that are affected by the night. Likes: Melissa's optimism, horses (nightmares harhar), fireflies, the wind, quietude, fast-flowing water, books with good dialogue (she's a huge Jane Austen fan, though she'll deny it if you ask her), ZZ Ward songs, thunder storms. Dislikes: Reading about her mythological family (they are pretty despicable in some ways...), bullies, noisy and/or stupid people, weapons. Fears: Losing her wonderful, warm, caring family.
