Age: Just turned 16 History: Grew up in one of the poor areas, her parents died when she was still an infant. Because she displayed some brilliance in the lab where she'd been adopted, she was eventually snapped up by one of the elite, the one who had first engineered the "perfect human." She's been with him as his surrogate daughter and best apprentice, searching for a cure to the disease. She is self-diagnosed as a Grey-A (someone who isn't completely asexual, but doesn't fall under any other classification of sexual orientation because of low interest). Personality: Because she grew up being called a prodigy, she has a good amount of self-confidence about her abilities, but having been born from a poor family and therefore considered not one of the elite, she's got a thick skin to insults and an acute understanding that she'll never "belong" in either group. She's perfectly fine with this and largely keeps to herself and her beloved laboratory.

She was taken in with the man who adopted Melanie because that was the condition Melanie gave to going without a fight. Personality: Constantly in her sister's shadow, she's always been very insecure about herself, quietly submissive to other people's will, and constantly feeling inadequate. She's quiet and demure, not at all proud like Melanie is. She's always thinking for other people and is therefore incredibly caring and thoughtful, as well as a good cook. She admires her sister a great deal, but can be a bit of a blockhead when it comes to the feelings of other people. There are lots of people in the lab who are after her, but Melanie is very protective of her and doesn't let anyone even near her.
