Se'urshenyeseine Essunye

Se'urshenyeseine Essunye is the 8th royal child of the scaled mers. She has one older sister, who is eldest and in line to inherit the throne, as well as 6 older brothers, and one younger sister. The only brother she is close to, however, is her eldest brother Haraksashoka'ono Issonye, who also happens to be the only one who shares the same mother with her.

As one of the youngest children of the current Issonye-shum, Se'urshe has always had a lot of freedom, and never been paid much attention, but this suits her fine, as she has grown to love exploring as far as she dares. Despite her love of adventure, Se'urshe is not a fiery spirit. She keeps to herself, and is gentle and kind as much as she is curious. Her life has been filled with quiet love that she tries to emulate in her day to day actions.

Se'urshe is quite pretty even by mermaid standards, having long black hair, a silver tail, and bright golden eyes she inherited from her father.

Note: Essunye is the title given to royal women, Issonye to royal men. Once they take the throne, they're given the titles Issonye-shum and Essunye-shum. Their spouses don't get the same title as them and are known instead as "Essun-she" (for female consorts of the king) and "Isson-she" (for Male consorts of the queen). Those married to royalty that haven't inherited are referred to as just "Essun" and "Isson." Like we call our prince and princesses just prince or princess, it is acceptable to call them just Issonye or Essunye, but rare for people to use nicknames or even just their first names without title.
